The Park Theatre is proud to present The Dears, with guests. It’s been a few years since The Dears were in Winnipeg and we’re happy to have them on our stage.

The Dears, a critically acclaimed “orchestral-pop-noir-romantique” rock’n’roll band from Montreal, is the lifework of Murray A. Lightburn. Their music has been described as a cross between The Smiths and Serge Gainsbourg with Lightburn’s singing voice being likened to Morrissey as well as Blur’s Damon Albarn.

The Park Theatre is proud to present The Good Lovelies, especially because they will be touring songs from their great new album. With Burn the Plan they are both fulfilling and defying their so-called musical destiny as a “folk trio.”
2011’s Juno-nominated Let The Rain Fall was the last time the Good Lovelies released a full-length studio album. For Caroline Brooks, Kerri Ough and Sue Passmore, four years has been the exact number of hours and experiences needed to take the next step, to burn the plan.
