Starting Points: Community Collaborative Arts Master Class with Ruth Howard
Experiment with creative processes stemming from different starting points and map out how a catalyst idea can guide a complex community arts process.

Ruth Howard is Founding Artistic Director, Jumblies Theatre (Toronto), one of Canada’s foremost experts in Community Collaborative Arts, and a leader in the community play form. She has led a series of multi-year residencies resulting in large-scale performances. Ruth has several decades of professional experience as a set and costume designer.

The Zombie Princess Apocalypse was a tea party compared to the super-powered mayhem Emm Dillinger and the Oddities must defeat in Sun Gorge, Wisconsin. As the boys with superhero wishes assemble at the San Diego Comic-Con, the Oddities are blown apart. 

A former child star and grunge singer, Jeffrey John Eyamie once worked for the minister of foreign affairs, conducted an interview with Bob Vila while sitting on the john, and gave the commissioner of the National Hockey League a dressing-down on national television.

Gentile Heroines & Heroes: Encouraging the Jews to return to their Ancient Homeland

Fachler features female Christian Zionists, archaeologists, newspaper editors and politicians who helped turn the idea of a “Jewish national home” into reality.

In 2 Lions, 6 Officers and 750 Mules, writer, broadcaster and historian Yanky Fachler focuses on British officers who pushed the Jews of Palestine to adopt a military ethos. In God’s Little Errand Boys, he focuses on Christian clergymen, including Rev William Hull of Winnipeg.
