The major conclusion reached is that poverty reduction cannot be sustained with an anti-poverty strategy based only on social inclusion and economic assistance, or humanitarian relief.

Author of The Road to Lancaster Manor, Wes Henderson enjoys tending to the yard, boating, reading, writing, and building rocking horses and rocking motorcycles, which he donates to fundraisers.

An evening of readings with local authors Andrew Davidson (The Gargoyle), David Annandale (Gethsemane Hall) and Sierra Dean (The Secret McQueen Series). 
The event will be hosted by S.M. Beiko (The Lake and the Library). 

The Chiaroscuro Reading Series is a Canadian speculative fiction-exclusive reading series, sponsored by ChiZine Publications. It is open to the public and offers readings from authors of science fiction, fantasy, mystery, and horror.

Prairie Ink Open Mic Tapas Night
July 17, 9:00 pm until 11:00 pm in Prairie Ink Restaurant
Hosted by Karen Neilsen
Registration begins at 8:30 pm with 11 musicians selected by lottery. 

Each musician will have 10 minutes on stage. Solo performances preferred although there is no objection to a backup musician or duo. Do not bring the band. We are only interested in original acoustic music. No covers. No drum kits. No heavy metal. We provide the sound system and mic. Bring your own guitar, keyboard, harmonica or hand drum. All ages and music welcome. A tapas menu will be available throughout the night. 

These evenings will continue the first Wednesday of every month.
