May 31, 7:00 pm in the Atrium.
Launch of Prairie Fire Magazine’s spring 2012 issue.

Since this publication is the first of Prairie Fire’s 33rd volume, we decided to mark the milestone with a double-sized issue and a double-fun launch.

The first half of the launch will include readings by last year’s winner of the McNally Robinson Book of the Year Award, Dora Dueck, and by  Annette Lapointe and Bev Sandell Greenberg, who are making their Prairie Fire debut.

The second half will feature presentations by the members of our Boreality project team - Katherine Bitney, Ken Gregory, Mandy Malazdrewich, Sid Robinovitch and Janine Tschuncky.

They will be joined by poet Fran Bennett and fiction writer Donna Besel, two of the many writers who answered our call for submissions on the theme of the boreal forest.
Please join us for a lively evening of sharing stories and eating cake.
