Meghan Duffield will be hosting an Art Auction & Fundraiser for Osborne House Inc.
All money collected goes directly to Osborne House inc.
There will be amazing pieces available to bid on, and a few of my favorite local musicians will play throughout the evening! I'd like to thank both the Artists and Musicians for donating their talent, time & positive energy.
Please make independent donations. Whether it be $$ or clothing, bedding, toys.
I can get these items to the Shelter.
Osborne House Inc. empowers women and their children who are experiencing domestic abuse by providing them with a safe and supportive environment.
3 out of 7 homicides in Winnipeg this year so far have been the result of domestic violence.
The shelter is experiencing its own crisis; unless it receives the funding and attention it deserves, Osborne House will close.
This shelter is one of the largest in Canada. It provides a safe place for woman and children who have found the courage to leave their abusive relationships. They leave in most cases with no plan, and only the clothes on their back.
It is crucial that our Federal and Provincial governments recognize the need for Osborne House, and protect this organization.
