Oak Hammock: Birds, Earth Day & Spring Tea

April 14 and 15 

Learn how to attract cavity nesters such as birds and bats and take home plans to build your own homes. 
Participate in our Homes in Holes Scavenger Hunt while exploring our exhibits.  
Fee is $15 per bird house. Pre-registration is recommended.

April 19 at 8 pm 

Learn the differences between telescopes.  A theatre presentation by Gerry Smerchanski, followed by a stargazing session from the rooftop deck.

April 22  Earth Day!

Presentations and exhibits promoting a green lifestyle. 
At 1:30 pm see how red wiggler worms can turn food scraps into rich compost. 
Join us at 2:30 pm to learn water-friendly home habits. 
Take home recipes for making green cleaning products.

April 26 - 1 to 3 pm 
Flowers and Feathers Spring Tea! 

Delicious teas and treats in the Café overlooking the marsh. 
Our Feathered Fashion Show will acquaint you with the returning winged wildlife. 
Wildflower Bingo will entertain and teach the many flowers that call the marsh home.

April 28 - 1 pm 

We will create a recycled gift bag and discover what we can do to help wetlands.
The Club is most appropriate for children ages 5 to 10. 
Pre-registration is recommended.  
Each workshop fee is $5 plus admission. 

The Oak Hammock Marsh Interpretive Centre is located 20 minutes north 
of Winnipeg on highway 67 between highways #7 and #8.
