Winnipeg Harvest & Energy 106: People Gotta Eat

Winnipeg’s New #1 Hit Music Station Energy 106 has partnered with
Winnipeg Harvest for their “People Gotta Eat” campaign.

Energy 106 is collecting non-perishable food items at the Grant Park Shopping Centre and Garden City Square for the holiday season.

The food drive will wrap up with a three day live broadcast at Grant Park Shopping Centre from December 8 - 10.  Energy 106 will be on site with local celebrities, Winnipeg dignitaries, a sports memorabilia auction and more!!

“Too many people are doing without basic nutritional needs, and it’s especially discouraging when it’s children who are suffering. With over 50% of food bank users being children, Manitoba is now the #1 province for child food bank usage", says David Northcott, executive director, Winnipeg Harvest.

Peak of the Market will match pound for pound all donations.
Canada Safeway will also match.

Mike Fabian, general manager, Energy 106 says, “...this time of year, the focus is on collecting toys for kids. Collecting toys is fine, but the bottom line is “People Gotta Eat.”
