Ann and Peter Timonin & McNally's Book Club

Chinese Characters: Emails from the Middle Kingdom
Tuesday August 16, 7:30 pm
Grant Park in the Travel Alcove

Any non-Asian who has tried to study Chinese characters can tell that a tiny line or dot makes a difference to the meaning.
The same is true in life.
Every event makes a difference, even if that difference is too small to appreciate at the time. Chinese Characters reflects one couple’s attempt to observe and comment on China and Chinese culture, as they spent a “gap year” between work and retirement by living and working in Kunming.

Ann and Peter Timonin live in Winnipeg with their aging cat.
Peter is a retired civil servant and Ann sometimes teaches English as an Additional Language. They enjoy travelling.
