Please consider planting an extra row of root vegetables such as carrots, potatoes, onions, beets or turnips.
Beet and carrot seeds, courtesy of T & T Seeds Ltd., are available at Winnipeg Harvest for a nominal donation.
Encourage your neighbours, family and friends to do the same.
Challenge them to a year end weigh–in!!
At school or community centre:
*Turn Grow-A-Row into a science project
*Plant a Harvest garden to be tended by club families
*Winnipeg Harvest will send a representative to give an in-class or on-site presentation
*At harvest season bring students or families to Winnipeg Harvest to deliver their crop, and arrange for a tour and full day of activities.
