The Water of Life Benefit

Come to The Water of Life Benefit for art, music, speakers and more and help raise money for The Boreal Forest Network's new office! 

The Boreal Forest Network is a non-profit environment and social justice group specializing in communications support and capacity building for ngo's and Indigenous community campaigns.

The Benefit runs from Friday November 19 at 5:00 p. m. to Sunday, November 21 at 6:00 p. m., at The Rocker, 3rd floor, 91 Albert Street.

Confirmed artists are: 
James Hogaboam: paintings and photos of Lake Winnipeg
Thomas Fricke: photographs from Lake Winnipeg, Hecla and more
Roger Rempel: aerial photos of the east side of Lake Winnipeg
Michael ManyEagles: soap stone carvings

Music by Twin
Bobby Stahr will be joining as a featured musical guest!

Speakers: Dave Fort and Dave Nickarz of the Sea Shepards 


Admission by donation...sliding scale.

Contact Manitoba Conservation and let them know you don't want them to allow Louisianna Pacific Swan Valley osb plant to be allowed to keep their pollution controls offline permanently!  ...LP may get a new license without these controls that were hard won protections for the health of valley residents when LP set up shop here in the mid 90s. 

Say no to your MLA and to Minister Bill Blaikie before this new license is issued.
