Kelly Hughes Live! State of the Unicity I

Kelly Hughes will interview arts activist Milena Placentile, Progressive Winnipeg's Graham Hnatiuk and architect Peter Sampson on Friday, October 8 at Aqua Books.

The evening begins at 7:00 p. m. and continues to 8:30 p. m., will feature the music of Stand Alone Complex.

Milena Placentile is a member of the International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art (IKT).  Her latest experiment, Showing Up, Speaking Out, explores ways citizens can engage with municipal issues.  She is a Co-Director of Atomic Centre and will spend next year between Winnipeg and Stockholm as part of a research residency at Konstfack University.

Peter Sampson practices architecture in Winnipeg.  He grew up in Montreal, has a degree in Literature from McGill University and pursued his architecture studies at the University of Toronto.

Graham Hnatiuk loves bureaucrats and career politicians.  He is often spotted in parking lots screaming "There's noooooo parking!" at heritage buildings slated for demolition.  His blog, Progressive Winnipeg, is an emotional venting outlet for environmental concerns.

Stand Alone Complex will paint a masterful soundtrack of piano explorations on a background of moody beats and vibrating strings and sound.

Have a great day.  How can you miss - you're in Winnipeg!
