Di Brandt: Walking to Mojácar

Please join Turnstone Press and Di Brandt to celebrate the launch of her new poetry collection, Walking to Mojácar, on Monday, October 18 at 8:00 p.m. at McNally Robinson Booksellers, 1120 Grant Ave.

Walking to Mojácar is a vivid and exquisitely-crafted multilingual work featuring different cultural and geographic landscapes and languages, in poetic dialogue.  Throughout this multidimensional collection, Brandt captures the human heart in love, in crisis, and in awe of the world.

Di Brandt is one of Canada’s most loved and admired poets.  Her internationally celebrated and award-winning poetry titles include questions i asked my mother; Agnes in the sky; Jerusalem, beloved; and Now You Care

Di Brandt has lived in Winnipeg, Edmonton, Toronto, Windsor and Berlin.  She currently holds a Canada Research Chair in Literature and Creative Writing at Brandon University, Manitoba.

She is delighted to be collaborating here with gifted poets and translators Charles LeBlanc of St. Boniface, Manitoba and Ari Belathar, Mexican writer-in-exile, currently living in Vancouver.

Have a great day.  How can you miss - you're in Winnipeg!
