The TD Winnipeg International Jazz Festival is pleased to present The Legendary Downchild Blues Band with Steve Hill!

Perhaps best known as the inspiration for Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi’s hit film The Blues Brothers, The Legendary Downchild Blues make their highly anticipated return to Winnipeg for a not-to-be missed performance. Fronted by “the Father of Canadian Blues,” Donnie Walsh, their classic hits from their illustrious career include “Flip Flop & Fly”, “I Got Everything I Need (Almost)”, and “Shotgun Blues”.

There would be no Blues Brothers if it weren't for Downchild. — Dan Aykroyd

The band celebrated their 45th anniversary in style with the release of their 2014 JUNO Award winning album, Can You Hear The Music.

The Winnipeg Folk Festival is thrilled to present Built to Spill!
Built To Spill returns with its eighth studio album, Untethered Moon. That’s two complete decades that one of America’s leading “indie rock” bands has happily made its home on a major label, operating under its own steam, crafting timeless songs and playing epic shows. Under the command of its constant leader, Doug Martsch, as well as a new rhythm section, Built To Spill’s creative process continues to evolve, reemerging on record for the first time since 2009’s There Is No Enemy with ten new songs.
