In celebration of Harry Potter's and J.K. Rowling's birthday, and the release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, McNally Robinson Booksellers and Prairie Ink Restaurant are proud to present a Harry Potter Party.
FREE and open to the public.

Plenty of entertainment, activities, and pavilions to visit throughout the evening. Browse the shops of Diagon Alley, visit the Great Hall for a warm meal or a cool butterbeer, stop by Honeydukes for a sweet treat, and more. All the while you can enjoy the performances of wandering minstrels and magicians, and watch live performances on the big stage of the Lyric.

Vouchers, required to claim the book, are now on sale at our Grant Park store, and will be available to purchase at the party. For those who do not wish to attend the party but would still like to claim a book at midnight, we will have booksellers at our Grant Park bookstore handing out copies.

#love is love is love

49 people were killed and over 50 injured during the worst mass shooting in U.S. history at a gay nightclub in Orlando. It was an attack on the LGBT community, an act of hate carried out with a gun. Hatred comes in many different forms. But there's no reason why those filled with hate should have a gun.

Demand Congress take action to prevent gun violence in America, by:
Making it illegal for people convicted of violent hate crimes to buy or possess guns
Make it illegal for suspected terrorists to legally buy guns
Require a background check for every gun sale
Use this form to sign our petition asking Congress to disarm hatred and keep guns out of dangerous hands.

Only a few candidates have stepped up on gun violence.
No more lists.
