We kick off Pride week with the talented singer/songwriter Treasure Peterson.
When her brother, Garry of The Guess Who, heard Treasure play Led Zepplin’s "Stairway to Heaven" he immediately gave her an electric guitar and small amp. Treasure then formed a band called "Jade". They played their first gig at the Sunnybrooke pool when she was twelve years old. After high school she played at the Women's Building, Ms. Purdy’s, and the dinner hour at Giovanni's Room. She is in the process of raising funds to record a single.
