Monthly storytelling circle with a featured teller and the chance for anyone to share a story. Jane Cahill, Associate Professor in the Departement of Classics at the University of Winnipeg, is also the recipient of the Clifford J. Robson Memorial Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2002.
Jane’s research interests include mythology, storytelling, Classical folklore, the origins of words. Her book, Her Kind, retells Greek myths as women might have told them.

Show Hope™ is a movement to care for orphans.
Founded by Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife Mary Beth, this nonprofit organization helps to make a difference for orphans through Adoption Aid grants that help Special Care Centres in China. Through programs like their Advocates, Student Initiatives, and Sponsorship, they are mobilizing individuals and communities.
When the Chapmans adopted Shaohannah Hope in 2000 from China, they wanted to do something about other waiting children. In February 2003, they started the organization now called Show Hope.
Show Hope’s mission is to reduce the barriers to adoption, and has helped provide homes through Adoption Aid grants for more than 5,000 orphans from 53+ countries. In addition, more than 2,000 orphans with special needs have received critically needed medical care through Show Hope’s Special Care Centres.

Fairy Tales are timeless stories passed down through oral traditions and the written word. They teach us lessons, take us on journeys and inspire our imaginations. Little Red Riding Hood is one such tale. Versions of the story about a girl and a wolf come from all areas of the world and the repertoire of stories continues to grow.
Written and performed by Rachel Smith, RED examines these different stories. Rachel has developed a solo performance piece that exposes the tale in unique way.
